Mass Times

Good Shepherd Parish Church

PASTORAL ARRANGEMENTS Update July 2021

In Good Shepherd Church 100 people will be permitted to attend public Masses (2 x pods of 50). Please ensure you wear a face covering, observe social distance and sanitise your hands on entering and leaving the church. Places in the church will be on a first come first served basis. As there are families who may only be able to attend a weekend Mass and as there can be a number of Month’s Mind/Anniversary Masses on a Sunday, we respectfully ask that those who are in a position to attend a weekday Mass instead of a weekend Mass would consider doing so.

Mass times will be as follows:

Tuesday to Friday 10am

Saturday 5pm

Sunday 10am and 12 noon.

These times will be reviewed each month and may change at short notice on advice from Government/HSE

50 mourners may attend a funeral. On the day of a funeral the church will open for private prayer at 11am. Until further notice we have been advised that all funerals will be private with family and extended family only in attendance. We will do our best to give as much notice as possible through the parish website and announcements at Mass if there is a funeral. Thank you for your understanding.

Weddings remain limited to 50 people.

The Parish Office opens on Monday to Friday from 10am to 2pm. You can contact the parish office at 01 2984 642 or email info@goodshepherdchurchtown.ie. We respectfully ask people not to congregate in the area around the office as only 2 people are permitted in the office area at any time.

The Church will be open daily from 9am to 7pm (10am on Mondays to facilitate the cleaning of the church).

On the day of a funeral the church will open at 11am.

All Pastoral meetings/Pastoral gatherings in the church meeting room and Parish Centre remain postponed until further notice.

The celebration of the Sacraments of Baptism, 1st Holy Communion, Confirmation now remain postponed until further notice. Parishes have been advised in the most recent briefing (June 30th) that these sacramental celebrations cannot take place until it is safe to do so. It is very possible that it may be Autumn at the earliest before arrangements can be made to proceed with these celebrations. This will be dependent on further advice from Government/Health Authorities/Diocese in the weeks ahead. For all queries and further updates, please contact the Parish Office at sacraments@goodshepherdchurchtown.ie

Weekly donations to the 1st & 2nd collections, Family Offering, as well as Easter Dues and donations for the St. Vincent de Paul Society can be placed in the secure safes in the church. Alternatively you can contribute to these collections by clicking the ‘Donate’ button at the top of the parish website https://www.goodshepherdchurchtown.ie/ and follow the instructions. A donation box will be placed at the exit points of the church after weekend Masses to facilitate any contributions you may wish to make.

Thank You for your ongoing support and generosity.

The Parish Lotto Draw takes place each Monday at 9.30am. (Except Bank Holidays where the draw will take place on a Tuesday at 9.30am).

Thank You for your continued understanding and support
