Mass Times

Good Shepherd Parish Church

The following pastoral arrangements remain in place in the Parish of Good Shepherd until further notice:

At present, there is no limit on the numbers attending Masses and services. However, we do invite people to continue to adhere to all the safety measure before, during and after all Masses in order to keep people safe.  Please ensure you continue to wear a face covering and sanitise your hands on entering and leaving the church. Please continue to use the marked entrance and exit doors. As the church needs to be well ventilated at all times the exit doors will remain open during Masses. We will do our best to make sure the church is as warm and comfortable as possible.

The present arrangements for the distribution of Holy Communion will remain in place for the foreseeable future. Music at our Masses will continue to be provided by our Cantors and Organist with all protective measures in place.  The Offertory procession and sign of peace will remain omitted. Further updates will be published as the need arises.

Mass times:
Tuesday to Friday 10am
Saturday 5pm
Sunday 10am and 12 noon.
Holy Days 10am.
These times will be reviewed on an on going basis and may change at short notice.

Baptisms: The celebration of the Sacrament of Baptism must follow all protective measures. All baptisms are fully booked up for the remainder of 2021. Baptisms will be celebrated on Saturday January 8th and the 1st Saturday of February and March at 10am. Please contact the Parish Office for any queries or further information.

The Parish Office opens on Monday to Friday from 9am to 2pm. You can contact the parish office at 01 2984 642 or email

The Church will be open daily from 9am to 7pm.

The Blessed Sacrament Chapel remains closed until further notice.

The Parish Centre remains closed for meetings and gatherings (except for
essential services) until further notice.

No collections will be taken up at weekend Masses. Weekly donations to the 1st & 2nd collections, Family Offering, and donations for the St.Vincent de  Paul Society can be placed in the secure safes in the church. Alternatively you can contribute to these collections by clicking the ‘Donate’ button at the top of the parish website and follow the instructions. A donation box will be placed at the exit points of the church after weekend Masses to facilitate any contributions you may wish to make. Thank You for your ongoing support and generosity.

The Parish Lotto Draw takes place each Monday at 9.30am. (Except Bank Holidays where the draw will take place on a Tuesday at 9.30am). The jackpot stands at €15,000. Envelopes are available at the tables at the back of the church.

Lining of Church Car Park
The process of lining the church grounds for car park spaces will begin on December 9th. It will take 2 days and it will be necessary to close the car park on December 9th and 10th. Thank you to the many people who made suggestions and proposals in relation to this project. It was pointed out that the present arrangement for car parking (without lining) is far from ideal. Once the project is complete a one way system will begin for all cars both entering and exiting the church grounds from Oakdown Road and Nutgrove Ave.  The new arrangement should mean we can accommodate more cars than at present.  There will be 2 designated car park areas, one at Oakdown Road and the other at Nutgrove Avenue (Very limited Parking).

The area at the front of the church will now be a pedestrian only zone. It will not be possible to drive a car around, or park at the front area of the church. This area will be reserved for use only at a funeral and no vehicle access will be permitted at other times for the safety of pedestrians. There will be 4 designated spaces for people with additional needs. These will be located close to the ramps at the Nutgrove Ave and Oakdown entrances to the church for ease of access (2 on each side). There will also be 5 spaces reserved for Parish Staff close to the parish centre on the Oakdown Road side. In order to keep pedestrians, cyclists and motorists safe we ask that you follow the signs at all times and only use the designated entry and exit points. As there will be very limited parking at the Nutgrove Avenue side of the church we recommend that as many as possible enter and exit through the Oakdown Road entrance as there will be ample parking in that area of the church grounds.
Thank You for your continued understanding and support.
